I was brought up in a small town east of Dallas called Caddo Mills, Texas. I was raised in a believing family and accepted Christ at an early age, however, my faith really developed as I entered high school. Living in a small town and attending a small church provided many opportunities for me to serve in meaningful ways in the body. As I stood waist deep in volunteer ministry, I began to wrestle with the possibility of God calling me to vocational ministry.
As life progressed, I chose to attend Baylor University and continued to wrestle with what ministry looked like in my life. I immersed myself in refining relationships and community that spurred me on to love and serve the church. I began to appreciate that God’s will was for me to minister regardless of my profession or workplace.
I graduated from Baylor in December of 2018 with my Bachelor’s in Finance and Accounting and my Master’s in Accounting. I married my wonderful wife Rachel (ring by spring) a few short weeks after that, and I have been working in Dallas ever since. Before joining staff at Watermark, I worked at a big 4 accounting firm and struggled with the inability to balance my passion for ministry and community with my professional responsibilities. Through pure sovereignty and providence, God provided me the opportunity to use my skills and gifts to serve the church here and I feel so blessed to be a co-laborer with this team!
