I grew up in a church-going family as the oldest of 4 kids in Lancaster, TX. In 1994 when tornados destroyed our home, we moved to Ovilla, TX where I graduated from Red Oak High School. I accepted Christ at a young age but it took me a while to start trusting and following Jesus. When I was 18 years old, I stole a large sum of money from my family’s small business and used it to pursue worldly pleasures. When the pig slop ran out and I had experienced the painful consequences of the decisions I had made, God reminded me of His love for me, that He forgave me for all I had done, and wanted me to have a relationship with Him. Thankfully, I chose to repent from the lifestyle I had been living and chose to follow Christ. My parent’s forgiveness further helped me to see the powerful love of God. From this point on, I was in for following Jesus.
By the grace of God, I went to Texas Tech where I met my future bride Brooke and experienced a gospel community where we had God-honoring fun, served God with our lives, studied His word, and had accountability to living out the truth of God’s word.
After getting married and graduating, Brooke and I moved to Dallas, found a church preaching against porn and baptizing hundreds in a North Dallas pond, and we jumped in and made Watermark our church home. 4 biological kids and 1 adopted kid later, we are on mission in Frisco, TX, along with our Great Dane, Clara, and our Boxer, Sydney.
As a family, we love to travel and experience new and adventurous destinations. On a sunny weekend, you can find us enjoying the outdoors as a family, going on bike rides, and spending time with our kids and all of their fun and unique extracurricular activities.
