I’m a DFW native who graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor’s in Architectural Design and a Masters in Marketing. I grew up in a solid Christian home where I knew a lot about Jesus but didn’t really know Jesus. During my first year of college, the Lord began to reveal Himself to me and show me that Christianity wasn’t a religion but a relationship with Christ. Shortly after that, I got connected to Watermark through the Porch during the summers.
Throughout college, I built up this idea of a perfect life and career for myself in architecture. But when my parents bought me a camera to take pictures of architectural models, it lit a spark in me, and that spark became a flame. God started to soften my heart to listen to what He wanted me to do and be open-handed with my future. So I prayed, “OK God, wherever you lead me, I’ll go.” That eventually led to me focusing on photography.
Through the lens of a camera, God has taught me so much about how to love people well and what it looks like to enjoy the moments He’s given us and tell a story that portrays that beauty. Now that I’m on staff at Watermark, I love that I get to be a part of telling the story of lives being changed by the gospel.
Fun facts: I was a closet Justin Bieber fan before it was cool. I love to boulder/rock climb and draw, and when I was 21, I helped design a building that is currently under construction.
