The Heart of David and the Character of God

1 and 2 Samuel

We watch the relationship between Saul and David unfolds in this passage, noting two major differences between them and the results that ensue. Saul listened to the people while David listens to the Lord. We draw a distinction between stewarding our lives as an extension of our own hand and heart rather than as an extension of the Lord?s. Intertwined in these chapters and their corresponding Psalms, we understand more of the character of God from David?s perspective.
