The Sad Story

1 and 2 Kings

These chapters relate the sad story of Ahab's family and teach us more about the character of God and His righteousness, justice, and hatred of sin. The sad cycle and consequences of sin are a great lesson for us: God's righteous standard is met with our rebellion. His righteous wrath either leads to our repentance, where we receive the gracious gift of redemption and restoration, or we reap the eternal consequences.
