God's Rules and God's Discipline

Thursday Evening Fall 2010 Study

As we have already seen packed into Daniel chapters 1-3, God's sovereignty continues to be evident, specifically in the areas of time, the kindgoms of men, the Heavens and the people of the earth. When the king's pride rears its head, Daniel warns him of the coming discipline. The king prior to God?s discipline is filled with pride but we find afterward a humility and holiness that is not only attractive, but brings glory to God and rest to the king. The same is true for us if we will receive His discipline, repent of our pride and rejoice in the holiness it brings us.
