We have extended the backpack drive to August 16!

We are halfway to our goal! Due to Sigler having online classes only the first 3 weeks of the new school year, we are able to extend the backpack drive.

This summer join us in partnering with Sigler Elementary to provide fully loaded backpacks for their students as they return to school. Our goal is to supply 200 backpacks to Sigler. This school year, more than ever, each individual student will need their own set of school supplies as they will be unable to share supplies in the classroom due to new COVID restrictions. Sigler families choosing online teaching options will also need supplies they would usually be available in the classroom. We are so excited to be able to provide for students at Sigler in this way after a difficult ending to last school year and an equally difficult summer of COVID.

Masks, Disinfectant Wipes, & Hand Sanitizer
For the 2020-2021 school year, Sigler students will be required to wear masks. The teachers are also in need of disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer. We will have a designated spot to donate these specific items.

What is the backpack drive?
The Sigler Back to School Backback Drive is a school supplies donation program that comes along families at Sigler that are unable to buy the necessary items for the new school year. This includes your donation of a new backpack stuffed with the school supplies students will need to experience an enjoyable, successful school year!

How do I participate?
First, choose a grade level you'd like to supply for and RSVP using the registration link. Then, go buy a backpack and fill it with of the supplies on the supply list for the grade level of your choosing! Lastly, return it to Watermark Plano by July 24.

What grade levels are included?
We will provide for students Pre-Kindergarten - 5th grade. Please RSVP for the grade you'd like to provide for. The biggest need is our Pre-Kindergarten students.

How does dropoff Work?
You can drop off supplies at Watermark Plano in our designated area on the south side of the building during our business hours: Monday - Friday: 7 AM - 6 PM
Supplies should be labeled and placed in the corresponding box for the grade level. Supplies that doesn't fit into the backpack should be placed in grocery or trash bag and labeled. We have labels available at the table for your convenience.

What if I don't want to go into a store to shop?
You can use the Target School List Assist to find the Sigler supply list and shop by grade level.

We have also put together an Amazon list with most of the needed items. It is not separated by grade but is a great place to start if you'd like to order online. Don't forget a backpack!
Walmart, Target, Kroger, Market Street, and other are currently doing online orders and contact-less pick up!
Office Depot also has really great deals on school supplies and the option to give 5% back of your purchase to a school of your choosing.
