Frequently Asked Questions

What about chairs, picnic blankets, access to restrooms, etc.?

This is a BYOB – Bring Your Own Blanket – event. You are welcome to bring picnic blankets, lawn chairs, etc. for use in the lot (East Lot) adjacent to the Watermark lawn where we will have plenty of space for gathering. There will be access to restrooms.

Where can I find the worship song lyrics?

You can find the worship song lyrics at worship.watermark.org.

Will there be social distancing or mandatory masks?

Our prayer is that we would “outdo one another in showing honor” (Romans 12:10) to one another as we extend grace to those who feel greater freedom to meet in-person and those who prefer continued social distancing.

While we expect there could be some who attend who will want to continue to practice social distancing, there won’t be space reserved for that specific purpose. The parking lot adjacent to the lawn will allow those who desire more personal space plenty of opportunity to seek space for themselves and their families. Please continue to move back if you desire more distance, rather than asking others to move or not be seated next to you. As is the case throughout our city and state, in public places masks are not mandatory.

As has always been the case, those who are more susceptible to illness (i.e., the elderly, those with compromised immune systems or caring for the same) would be wise to show even more prudence as they consider their participation in live events. We know that risk has always been part of all public interactions, and part of our responsibility as adults is to assess those risks, which are certainly heightened with the high rate of asymptomatic individuals. We trust your ability to assess risk and how your choices affect others. We long for the day when we all can freely gather without concern.

What about kids attending the Saturday event?

At this time, separate Kids Ministry will not be offered at Saturday Night at Watermark, although children are welcome to attend with their families. Just as Watermark’s Kids Ministry policy has said for the last two decades, parents are asked not to bring a child if he/she:

  • Has run a fever within the last 24 hours
  • Has had diarrhea or has vomited in the last 24 hours
  • Has a green or yellow discharge coming from their nose or eyes
  • Is known to have any infectious disease such as HFM, croup, etc.
When will Watermark begin meeting for weekend worship?

This Sunday, Watermark will again meet online at our normal times. Please continue to invite others to join us while geography is not a limiting factor. Plans for when we do gather on our campuses are being made and refined daily. These plans will be unique to each campus and based on campus size and the constant flow of new information. When we do meet, many of the same practices you see described above will likely continue. We’ll make provisions for those who are ready to gather, while also accommodating, as space allows, those who desire more personal space. Thank you for praying for us as we seek to serve God’s people and honor our King.
