Faith & Finances is a financial literacy course designed specifically for those in low-income households. The curriculum was created by The Chalmers Center and is taught at Watermark through our Community Development Corporation.

Whether you are experiencing damaged credit, debt, job loss, or any other season of financial instability, Faith & Finances is a class built to help you take steps towards financial health and ongoing life transformation in Christ.

Through Faith & Finances, participants:

  • Learn basic money management techniques that are instantly applicable
  • Build a workable budget, spending plan and emergency fund with hands-on assistance
  • Gain wisdom to avoid common pitfalls to financial health, such as high-interest loans
  • Develop biblical perspective regarding finances, work and material wealth
  • Learn kingdom living principles including giving joyfully and living simply
  • Experience Christ-centered community and restored relationships around finances

This class includes two components:

  • Part 1: 10-week large group classes led by Watermark volunteer Facilitators.

  • Part 2: After the 12-week class is completed, participants break into small groups led by Watermark volunteer Allies who come alongside participants for a minimum of 6 months until they reach their savings goal for the WIDA program.
