FAQs for Watermark Kids Reopening Fall 2020

Why is midweek Kids Ministry (Training Ground) not available for Night Out?
Our ability to open Training Ground is temporarily limited by the availability of volunteers and part-time employees. As soon as our midweek teacher base is remobilized to adequately accommodate our guests, we will expand our midweek service options.

Why are masks required for teachers and students, and not for kids?
We are allowing parents to make a decision about whether or not kids (5 years old through 5th grade) in their family should wear a mask to services at Watermark. We are asking teachers to wear a mask for their protection and to lovingly accommodate families and leaders with this preference. Students are required to wear masks while at Wake and Shoreline until they are able to socially distance, however, due to the nature our event, we are not able to guarantee consistent levels of social distancing and in an effort to keep everyone healthy, are asking all students 6th grade – 12th grade to keep their masks on unless eating or drinking.

Will there be temperature screening?
Yes. We want to do our best to screen for observable symptoms. As has been our policy for many years, individuals with persistent cough, fever, headache, or sore throat will be asked not to participate in Watermark Kids until they have been fever free (unmedicated) for 24 hours, symptoms have ceased, and at least one week has passed since the start of symptoms.

Are you changing anything about the way you provide meals?
For Relay, dinner and drinks have been and will be served by Relay leaders. All kids are required to wash their hands before eating food.

Kids Ministry is not provided for this event.
