Born and raised in Richardson, Texas, I’ve always loved this great state. I grew up going to church and accepted Christ as my savior at 7 years old, but didn’t always pursue Him relationally. I went to college at the University of Missouri to pursue a degree in Journalism and pushed God to the back of my mind.
After graduating, I moved back to Dallas to work at an ad agency. The party scene and long hours on the job sucked me in, but ultimately weren’t as fulfilling as a I thought they’d be. A friend invited me to The Porch and I began pursuing Christ as my personal savior. My faith grew as I let God into every part of my life, not just Sunday mornings or Tuesday nights.
In 2017, God opened a door to use my training in advertising and marketing to join Watermark staff full time. I jumped on board to the communication team and have enjoyed every minute of it. I continue to be challenged, both professionally and personally, to use communication as an outlet to further God’s kingdom and reach the unreached.
In 2018, I married my best friend after getting to know him serving together at The Porch and on a mission trip to Ethiopia. By the end of 2019, we’ll have celebrated our first year of marriage and welcomed a baby girl into our family. What a privilege it is to see God’s work at hand!
