I’m a preacher’s kid that grew up in a small East Texas town called Union Grove and attended college at Stephen F. Austin State University to pursue a degree in communications. I gave my life to Jesus when I was seven, but really began to fully surrender my life to him during college. It was while working for a church in Nacogdoches, TX that I started feeling a call in my life to be in full time ministry. I spent my summer’s in college working for Kanakuk Kamps for four summers and after graduation, ended up moving to Branson, Missouri to join staff. During that year, I realized I wanted to use the creative gifts the Lord had given me to allow people to see Jesus in a real way for the “capital C” Church one day.
After Kanakuk, I went on staff as the Creative Director for Breakaway Ministries at Texas A&M University and it was in February 2019 that I got a call from Todd Wagner where I was asked to consider continuing my journey at Watermark. I am excited to see all that God has in store as I serve as the Creative Producer here at Watermark. I believe people often come into the church with a lot of walls built up that prohibit them from receiving the truth of the gospel in their lives. My prayer is that the creative moments we provide allow guards to come down in a way that allows room for people to be receptive to hear truth in a life changing way.
