One of my favorite things to do in this season is to go for a walk and listen to songs that remind me of God’s character and God’s truth. Right now one of the songs on repeat for me is "Even If" by Mercy Me. Here’s a few of the lines from the song…
I know You're able and I know You can
Save through the fire with Your mighty hand
But even if You don't
My hope is You alone
God is able to do whatever He wants to do. He can part the Red Sea, shut the mouths of lions, or save His men from the flames of the furnace, but sometimes He chooses to not “save us” from the hard. He allows us, like Job or Joseph, to experience really hard things in life.
The great thing about God, even if He chooses to not stop the hard and calls us to walk through it, He will always be with us. He won’t leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). He is always good (Psalm 34:8). We may not understand, but we can trust Him (Psalm 18:30). We can keep our hope in Him (Hebrews 10:23) because He always keeps His promises (Psalm 145:13b).
Grateful to be on this journey with you all! We pray these devotionals are helping you and your family to anchor deep into God’s truth in this season of so much uncertainty. If there is anything we can do to serve you, please let us know by emailing email@example.com.
