Having the Right View of God Means Understanding His Perfect Balance Between JUSTICE and Grace

We did something a little different than our usual programming this weekend, and we hope you and your family got to put our RESPONSIBILITY week 4 finish line into practice in some way! Though we did not gather together on campus, you can still keep this month’s lesson on FEAR going at home by talking to your child about what it means to have the right view of God. In lieu of our usual lesson summary and family discussion questions on the blog this week, we are providing our actual small group lessons for you to work through as a family at home.

FEAR: Having the right view of God's perfect authority, justice, and grace.

MEMORY VERSE: “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? he requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases Him, and love Him and serve Him with all your heart and soul.” Deuteronomy 10:12 (NLT)

This Week’s Finish Line: Having the right view of God means understanding His perfect balance between JUSTICE and grace

Choose the younger (for K-1st grade) or older (for 2nd-5thgrade) version of this week’s lesson and it will help you teach about God’s perfect justice. Read through the lesson and discuss the questions and answers with your child all at once or break it up into bite-sized chunks throughout the week! When we gather together next weekend, we will pick back up where this lesson ends by talking about God’s perfect grace.
