God's Revival and Righteous Wrath

1 and 2 Kings

In these chapters, we learn more about the character of God. We learn how He raises up a righteous remnant amidst a rebellious people. We see how we can learn from their example and be a means of revival in our day as well. We also see the consummation of God's wrath, after many years of merciful warnings about the consequences of sin, that results in their captivity to Babylon. And, throughout all, we see the character of the King above all Kings, the One True God, who is worthy of our trust!
