I grew up in a Christ-following home in Arlington, TX. I accepted Jesus as my Savior at an early age as a result of participating in Awanas at my childhood church. I was in college when I felt God calling me to serve him in vocational ministry and I'm excited to be able to answer the call at Watermark. God has given me a passion for working with kids and I'm excited about using that passion as the Director of Children's Ministry at the Frisco campus.
God used my time at Texas Tech University and summers at Kanakuk Kamps to strengthen His hold on my heart and direction in life. That path led me to attend the Kanakuk Institute after graduating from Tech with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Upon completing the Institute, I was on staff with K-Life and then Pine Cove Christian Camps. Most recently I got to wear a swimsuit and flipflops every day for 8 years as I worked for Emler Swim School.
I met my wife, Caitlin, at Watermark (technically the Lake Highlands High School cafeteria in 2007). We were volunteering with Crossroads45 and were set up on a blind date. Needless to say, the date went well and we got married a little over a year later. God has blessed us with twin boys, Campbell and Knox, and a sweet little girl, Lucy.
Any day on a golf course or in the mountain is a good day. It's hard to beat the feeling of hitting a 300-yard drive or a perfect cast on a fly rod.
