Meet Harrison

I have the joy of hanging with junior high and high school kids. A lot people say, “Oh my goodness I don’t know how you do it” or they just sprint away as fast as they can… I love what I get to do. I think that junior high and high school is the most crucial time in a person’s life. It is when we decide how to deal with our joys, failures, insecurities, hurts, and identity - we learn to either run to the world or run to Jesus. It’s a battlefield. I get to fight alongside amazing leaders and parents as we work together to shepherd and disciple our future leaders, parents, decision makers, and cultural influencers. But for now they are very impressionable junior high kids with really squeaky voice cracks and maturing high schoolers testing their boundaries and identities.

I grew up here in a suburb of Dallas called Carrollton. I first met Jesus through my parents as they modeled the love of Christ and lived it out in their own lives. I started following Jesus at 8 years old and have been learning what it looks like to abide with Him ever since. I felt the call to ministry in high school but ran away from it out of fear and insecurity. When I graduated from Baylor in 2011, I surrendered to where the Lord was leading me in ministry and came to Watermark as a student ministry intern. I have been living in dependence daily as Jesus lives and loves through me.

I am married to my beautiful bride, Hunter. We were high school sweethearts that will remain newlyweds until we die. She is an amazing blessing in my life, she makes me be a better man and disciple of Jesus. I love hanging with my wife, any sport involving a board, chilling in a hammock, being in the mountains, creativity, frisbee, vans, v-necks, and incredible food.
