Welcome incoming Freshmen and all other newcomers! The methods of our high school ministry look a little different from our junior high ministry, yet our mission remains the same. We exist to help students believe in Christ, belong to His body, be trained in truth, and be strong in ministry.
What's Next for Small Groups?
Weekly, Wednesday at 7:00 pm at Watermark Plano Starting August 22, 2018
When it comes to environments for spiritual growth, we think circles are better than rows. This is why Small Groups have been and always will be at the heart of our ministry. We meet at Watermark Plano in Stage 4 before breaking into Small Groups. Our groups and leaders from junior high move up together into high school. Newcomers are always welcome and will simply join pre-existing groups. Our curriculum takes students through one book of the bible at a time and includes a $10 study guide for every participant. Hideaway (our retreat to Pine Cove Shores and Timbers) is a great way for students to grow spiritually and bond with their Small Group. Mark your calendars for September 21-23, 2018.
What is Shoreline?
Monthly, Wednesday at 7:00 pm in Stage 4 at Watermark Plano Starting September 5, 2018
Unlike Wake, Shoreline is not a weekly meeting. It's a monthly event! Once a month, small groups take a break and students gather for Shoreline on a Wednesday night. We'll meet on the FIRST Wednesday during the Fall semester (starting September 5) and the FOURTH Wednesday during the Spring semester. Shoreline is a place to be energized and refreshed and an excellent way for newcomers to experience what Watermark's high school ministry is all about.
On weekends, high school students are encouraged to attend one of Watermark's main worship services on Sunday at 9:15 am or most of our studnets attend 11:15 am. A group of high school students usually sits together in the "Student Section" located in the front right section of the worship center.
What is LEAD Team?
LEAD (Leadership Education And Deployment) Team is for high school students who are Watermark members with a desire to serve as student-leaders in the High School Ministry. On LEAD Team, committed students are challenged to actively participate in ministry, encourage one another with like-minded community, and get equipped with specific leadership tools. Because this is a leadership position, Watermark membership is a requirement. LEAD Team meets every other Sunday night during the school year. To get started anytime, a student needs to complete the online application form. Someone from staff will follow up regarding next steps.
