I grew up in a spiritual and loving family. My parents divorced at a young age, and I am the proud daughter of an Army officer (Hoo-rah)! With all the moving that entails it means I don’t really have a “hometown”, but I love getting to meet people and enjoyed living in many different places. Those places include Germany, Kansas, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama and Virginia (twice), but out of that list I usually claim fame to the hometown of Fairfax, Virginia.
It wasn’t until I graduated college from Auburn University (WAR EAGLE!) and moved to Dallas that I heard the gospel message clearly after attending Women’s Bible study and the Porch. I learned that sin is real, being a good person isn’t good enough, and that I desperately need that Savior, Jesus Christ, that I had heard about before. Also, that being Christian isn’t meant just to be a safety net- but to live life radically out of that free gift of grace. THAT my friends, is where true, abundant life is really found.
Career wise, to my surprise, my heart started to stir to something outside of the Financial/Software Consulting realm I had been working in for a couple years, so I applied and was accepted into the Watermark Residency program of 2014-2015. After completing the incredible program, I now have the great privilege of serving on the Equipping Team and specifically in the Stewardship area. I count it pure joy that I have been entrusted with this position to care for others and help them steward what God has entrusted to them.
You can find me enjoying time watching any season of Survivor, serving with my Porch volunteer team, and speaking in puns. Doing all three at the same time would be simply Tri-rrifc.
