I grew up on St. Simons Island, a tiny beach town, off the southeastern coast of Georgia. For most of my childhood, I battled with anxiety and found my worth in the things I accomplished. This led me to an empty life consumed with striving and people pleasing. It was not until college that I experienced the freedom the comes through relationship with Christ!
I accepted Christ as my Savior during my freshman year at The University of Georgia. While in college, I had the privilege of serving on the preschool ministry team at Athens Church. It was during that time that I felt The Lord stirring my heart for the local church. I moved to Texas to attend Dallas Theological Seminary, in hopes to become better equipped to serve the Body of Christ. I love being able to serve God’s family and see it as a special privilege to get to partner with families here at Watermark! Serving as the Coordinator for Starting Blocks allows me to shepherd and encourage both preschoolers and volunteers.I love spending time with friends, whether that’s going for a walk, watching a movie, or trying out a new restaurant. Oh, and Disney World-- I’m always ready for a trip there! As a recovering perfectionist and control-freak, I cling to the promise found in Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, “Trust in The Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths.”
