|Hi! My name is Sarah
Weisinger, and I grew up in Longview, Texas. I went to Baylor University, where
I majored in education and stayed for another degree, a Masters in educational
psychology. I’ve taught sixth grade math, been a school counselor at a
preschool, and now I am super excited to serve at Watermark as the On Your Mark
God gave me an incredible family, with two parents who love Him and taught me about Him from a young age. I made a personal decision to follow Jesus when I was seven years old and never looked back. I am humbled that God would save me at such an early age and grateful to have been spared much heartache that comes from a life apart from Him. I am the oldest of three kids, with a younger brother and sister. Our family spent our summers going to Pine Cove Christian Camp, and all three of us kids have had the privilege of working there over the years.
I love the fact that God is alive! That means He is able to move and change us. His Word is also alive, and it’s been a game-changer in my life. Teaching His Word to His people is a joy and passion of mine. I love getting to point kids to truth, in hopes that they will develop a firm foundation on God’s Word now, so they can experience the rest of life knowing and leaning on God’s promises. God put this passion inside of me, and now He has given me an opportunity to use it in the form of vocational ministry. I am amazed, humbled, and totally pumped!
I love chocolate, good conversations, running, and guacamole. I’m always up for frozen yogurt, can’t ever seem to get over God’s glory on display in the sky, and enjoy watching football. I’m refreshed by early mornings, spending quality time with dear friends, and a good cup of coffee. I recently got married to Darrell, and when we’re not out trying the latest and greatest Bar-B-Q the metroplex has to offer, you can find us doing yoga, grilling out, and learning from God’s Word.
