I am not from Texas, but I got to here as fast as I could. For me that was at 11 years old after my parents moved the family from New York. Shortly after I was introduced to Jesus in a real way through Student Venture. However, I spent the next 15+ years not knowing what it looked to follow him closely, and I looked for life in all the wrong places; sports, academics, charity work, business success, finances, party scene, and being a good person. Lots of dead ends until I stopped being a fan of Jesus and really started to follow him in 2011. I found a love for God’s word, a real community to surround myself with, a ministry I loved serving with (The Porch) and eventually my amazing wife Allyson.
I started to be involved with all sorts of things Watermark had going on; West and South Dallas, Nicaragua, Ethiopia, and Haiti. As I started to do these things, I realized God has a unique way of calling you out of something that was lifeless and then you taking you back there to be an agent of life transformation to people that are a version of the former you. I realized missions was not about going somewhere, but being faithful right where I was at. I am passionate about spending my time serving at the intersection of millenials, missions, and the marketplace to remind folks that God has good works already prepared for us to do, we just need to be faithful where we live, work, and play.
