|I was 11 years old when my Dad’s job brought us to Dallas, Texas from Lima, Peru. I grew up going to church but never knew what it was to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. |
It wasn’t until 2002 that I became a believer; however, I didn’t have a group of believers to spur me on and encourage me. Two years later I started attending Watermark Community Church, and that’s when I started following hard after Christ. I joined a community group and started volunteering with children.
My passion has always been kids, so when a part-time position opened up in the Starting Blocks ministry, I applied for the job and started working in 2006. Recently, another position opened up in the children’s ministry and I jumped at the chance to be a more integral part of this team. I was hired in July 2012.
Watermark is also the church where my husband Richard and I met at a Single Parent Family event and soon became friends. We were married in May 2010 and we now have a blended family that consists of Cali, Nico, and Skyler.
