My profile may say Robin Koehling, but I am known as “Birdie” around Watermark and especially by my 9 grandchildren. As a native Texan and Mike Koehling’s wife, we spend many evenings sitting on the back porch watching the Texas sunset or around the fire pit at our mini 3-acre ranch in Sachse, just northeast of Dallas.
I accepted Jesus as my Savior in high school through Young Life. Even though I knew that God loved me, I struggled with thoughts of being good enough and tried to perfect myself. After experiencing a divorce, I accepted the lie that I could never be good enough for God. But God never stopped pursuing me. He sent friends to remind me of His love for me. He has taken my mess and turned it into a message of hope. I have had the privilege of serving in Watermark’s recovery ministry, re:generation for over 15 years. I love sharing with others the hope that I have found in Christ, especially when they have made mistakes in their lives, and telling them the truth from God’s word when they are believing the lies of the world. I want them to understand that He moved heaven and earth to show them His love by sending Christ to die on the cross for our sin. That is amazing love!! Please contact me if you need a reminder or a rethinking about God’s love. It would be my joy to encourage you.
My other joys are spending time with my family. Time passes so quickly and I can’t get enough with them. I love to garden, raise chickens, cook, knit, crochet, quilt and create just about anything – especially with grandkids, family and friends. Stop by if you would like to spend some time creating and talking about my Jesus.
