Hey y’all! I grew up in eastern Colorado where we said, “Hey you guys!” and Dr.Pepper was not referred to as “coke” but “pop”. Weird, I know, but I’ll defend my definition of “pop” even still. I grew up with loving parents, a sister and a brother, and our lives revolved around all things cattle on our ranch. We went to church on Sundays and I remember praying to accept Christ with my VBS leader, but I still struggled with believing the lie that I could earn God’s love and salvation through my performance and people-pleasing. After my family moved from Colorado to Oklahoma, He captured my heart and became my Savior — the one and only Savior that died on the cross for me and my sins — and I fully understood that I could do nothing to earn God’s love.
I went to college at Baylor (Sic ‘em Bears!) and came to Dallas after I graduated. I found out about Watermark through college friends. A year later I finally jumped in full speed ahead by joining a community group, serving in Dallas and on overseas trips and finding the freedom Christ offered me from anxiety through Re:generation. In 2013, I became the Young Adults Assistant in Dallas which God also used to significantly change my life. Through The Porch and friends there, I was introduced to my now husband from Fort Worth. I’m so thankful the Lord has called me now to Fort Worth and the opportunity I have to hear countless stories of life change here. God is SO GOOD!!
When I’m not at Watermark, I love taking walks with my husband (Andy) and our dog (Brody), relaxing/seeing movies/eating with friends, drinking coffee and learning how to cook and bake fun new things.
