I grew up in Abilene (the prettiest town you’ve ever seen), and, after a short stint at Baylor University, I moved back and eventually graduated from Abilene Christian University. Post-Undergrad, I had the opportunity to live in Oxford, England for six months on a work visa and, even though I had been walking with the Lord since the age of 14, it was in England that my love for the Lord was heightened and my faith truly tested and refined.
Upon returning from across the pond, I began the pursuit of my Masters degree at TCU and started making the drive over to Watermark on Tuesday evenings for The Porch. Never having any desire to actually live in Dallas, I laugh when I look at my life and passions now! Over the past couple of years, the Lord has stirred my heart for this city and the young adults in it! I am so thankful that our God is a God of details, because He so intricately put all the pieces together that have ultimately led me to where I am now.
To know me is to know that my dog, Norm, is a pretty stinkin’ special part of my life. Also important to know: I am a sucker for all things nostalgic, I love small towns, fried pickles, photography, my family, and my friends who are like family. Give me any combination from that list and I am one extremely happy girl.
