|I first heard the gospel through a ministry called YoungLife and accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was 16. I was super-excited about my new faith but I wasn’t really sure how to pursue a relationship with Jesus so I quickly returned to my previous behaviors, seeking fulfillment in sports and popularity. For years, I found myself striving for perfection—trying so hard (and failing!) to earn the grace that Jesus freely gives, and eventually found myself desperate to surrender everything that I’d been trying so hard to hang on to. I realized that I couldn’t do it on my own and that I needed Him. A friend encouraged me to start reading my Bible, praying, and attending church. I began to learn about God’s character and my identity in Him and experienced peace and joy as the Lord transformed my heart. |
I saw true growth in my walk with God when I began attending Watermark in 2010. I was poured into through community and various ministries and was encouraged to serve and lead. I now have the privilege of discipling girls through Watermark’s student ministries. I love seeing them grow in their understanding of God’s love for them and experience the abundant life that He has promised us. When the opportunity arose to use my gifting on staff here at Watermark, I jumped at the chance to serve the church I love in a new capacity.
I was born and raised in Richardson, TX and graduated from the University of North Texas. When I’m not at Watermark, I love hanging out with my friends and family, trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and reading. Other things I love: animals, Mexican food, sports, and fro-yo!
