God graciously met me at a time in my life in high school where I felt unlovable, was hoping in worldly things, and tried to carry the weight and burden of my sins on my own. After joining a Bible study with The Village Church in Flower Mound I met people who loved Jesus and lived in the freedom of trusting Him and made me want to know more. I became sure of my salvation during this time and accepted the grace and mercy that Jesus offers us through his death and resurrection. Slowly, but surely I dove deeper into God’s word and began pursuing a relationship with Jesus.
In college I came to understand how living in authentic community and active discipleship greatly affected my relationship with the Lord. I would visit Watermark and go to the Porch with my sister when I was home from school and deeply admired the Biblical culture, teaching, and purpose that the church lived out. After graduation I raised support for a year-long residency with a church in Austin and returned to Dallas in June of 2016. Eager to reconnect with consistent community, I prayed that I would take root and find a church home in Dallas. Just a couple weeks later our good, faithful God opened doors in the midst of closing others- I returned to Watermark, but as a staff member on the Watermark Kids’ team!
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Communication, am the third out of four girls, and hope to visit every US National Park. I love traveling anywhere and everywhere, being on the water, and coffee in my cup. I am grateful to be on the Kids’ team and humbled that I have the opportunity to be a part of what God is doing in and through Watermark!
