Meet Josh

I grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia where I came to know the Lord in 8th grade one night during youth group after many years of just being a church-goer. The Lord used faithful friends and a faithful Pastor to help me see my brokenness and need for Christ. I quickly started to lead worship for my youth group because I was teaching myself how to play guitar at the time and no one else was doing it! It was throughout highschool I felt a real call to devote my life to worship ministry specifically. I attended James Madison University for 2 years where I dated my now wife, Taylor, long distance as she was in College Station, Texas. I decided to transfer to Texas A&M to finish out undergrad and we were married shortly after I graduated in 2018. While going through Merge at our church in College Station, Taylor and I heard about Watermark through the curriculum and knew we had to come and be a part of what was happening here. I spent a year in our institute program at Watermark where I got a ton of biblical training and real life ministry experience. I came on full time staff in July 2019 and have loved it ever since!

Taylor and I love our sons Benjamin and Grayson! I love college football, running, sweets (s/o Crumbl cookies and Hypnotic donuts), and going to the Arboretum with the fam on a Saturday morning!
