I grew up in the Dallas area in a loving Christian home. I came to know Jesus Christ at a young age, but never knew what a true relationship with Christ looked like until I decided to quit playing club volleyball and start living my life for Him. My younger years were filled with playing sports and hanging out with my twin brother and two older sisters. Life was carefree and easy, that is until I started playing club volleyball.
Growing up I had played many sports, but nothing could compare to volleyball in my eyes. I started playing club and doing private lessons at an early age with my end goal being a full ride to play volleyball at a D1 college. As I kept playing, volleyball became my identity and my idol. I was all about performance and never truly found real joy in life, because my source of happiness was not coming from the Lord. When I started to realize my joy could not be found there and I could only find joy through my true purpose in life which is to honor and serve the Lord, God took away my passion for competitive club volleyball. I realized that my identity needed to be rooted in Christ alone, and nothing else. If I was rooted in Him, I would have everything I would ever need. He has redeemed me from a life of self-gain and selfish desires, and has led me to find a true passion in serving others, and not myself.
I have been attending Watermark since 2007 with my family. I graduated from Texas A&M University where I got a degree in International Studies with a Business minor. I absolutely love to travel and have studied abroad in both Spain and Costa Rica. In my free time you will find me playing sand volleyball, hanging out with friends, booking a vacation somewhere, or baking cookies and watching a movie. I feel so blessed to be on staff here at Watermark, and I love getting to serve people on the finance team!
