I was born and raised in Austin, Texas and and I'm a die-hard Longhorns and Cowboys fan. Since I was a kid, I have always had a great love for any and all sports. You can most likely find me on a field or a court with a ball in my hand.
My mother is Native-American, Navajo tribe, and my dad is African-American. So growing up I had a different outlook on life because I struggled with not knowing what my identity was. When I was young, I saw myself as spiritual but did not identify with any specific religion. In my early adulthood, I met my beautiful wife Hannah and in the summer of 2011 we moved to Dallas. Shortly after the move, my friend introduced us to Watermark. At first, I was reluctant to go through he membership process and join a community group, but God showed me the value and freedom that came from living authentically with others and being fully open with my sins.
Soon after, growth in Christ continued when I started going to Re:Generation. As worked through that curriculum I started to see the blessing of being fully open and honest, and became eager to recieve encouragement and wise counsel from my accountablity partners in the program. Today, by God's grace, I have been getting better at finding my identity in him, and laying all of my sins, struggles and fears at Christ's feet through confession and prayer. I am encouraged by the way God has used the resources here at Watermark to restore my life and strengthen my marriage. I am so thankful and grateful to be part of this amazing staff!
