Hydro, Oklahoma, population 962, is the place I called home for the first 22 years of my life. I played every sport available at my small Christian school, and couldn’t wait to go to college and be a Cowboy at Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!). My immediate and extended family gathered for every holiday imaginable, and many of my childhood and teenage memories consist of riding four wheelers with cousins, having skeet-shooting contests, and drinking coffee with my grandparents.I remember asking Jesus into my heart when I was three years old, knowing that I would not go to heaven except through Him. The Lord has continued to reveal Himself to me since then, as I continue to come to a deeper understanding of the Gospel. I grew up going on mission trips and serving in my home church, knowing that I always wanted to volunteer in ministry, but never picturing myself in vocational ministry. While I was a student at Oklahoma State, I realized how much I loved being in ministry, and applied for the Watermark Residency Program. In Residency, the Lord reminded me of my desire that everyone would clearly understand and be able to articulate the Gospel, ultimately believing in Jesus as our Creator and Redeemer. I am humbled to now be a part of the Connecting Team, coordinating the Believe Team and Testimony Time. What an honor it is to hear stories of life-change, always pointing people back to Jesus.
