Born and raised in the Lone Star State, and I’d have it no other way (#TexasForever)! I grew up in Waco, TX with three other siblings, and I have been married to my husband, Dean, since July 1, 2017. I enjoy being outside, game nights with friends, and am always down for a few scoops of ice cream at any time of the day.
I grew up going to church where I heard the Gospel taught consistently from an early age. However, it wasn’t until I was in middle school where my head knowledge became a heart belief, and I fully felt the weight of my sin but understood that I was saved by His grace alone through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). The Lord continued to use a small group I was in through KLIFE ministries to help me take ownership of my faith and teach me what discipleship looked like through my small group leaders. I attended Dallas Baptist University, and I started coming to Watermark in college after first visiting with some friends. The Lord has used this place ever since to help me be fully known, loved, and challenged to become more like Christ. Through my involvement with KLIFE, spending my summers working at Kanakuk Kamps, and serving in the student and college ministries at Watermark, the Lord revealed to me a passion I have for the local church and discipleship.
After graduating college, I completed the Residency Program through the Watermark Institute, and these were some of the best 10 months of my life! The Lord used this season of studying His Word to re-root my beliefs in Scripture and give me a biblical view of His character and heart for His people. The Lord is so much more faithful than I can comprehend, and getting to invest in high school small group leaders and students across DFW is one of His most gracious gifts. Pray with me for the students in our city!
