|I am a native of Dallas and a graduate of Texas A&M University. Each day, I praise the Lord for the family He blessed me with and pray I take the unconditional love I have received and share it with each person I come in contact with. |
As every believer discovers, being a fully devoted follower of Christ doesn’t just happen because you were born into a wonderful family; it’s an independent choice you make yourself. The whole “absolute surrender” never made sense to me until I devoted my life to something other than the Lord. As a teenager, I played competitive volleyball to the extent that everything I did was dictated by dreams of being a great athlete. It was during one of my quiet times at camp when I read Jeremiah 29:13 that I realized I was trying to dictate my own life and call it God’s plan for me.
The Lord revealed to me that when I seek with the Lord with my whole heart, he will direct my path. My life transitioned from a path of athletic accomplishments to one of full devotion to Christ and a heart for ministry. After graduating in 2011, God brought me back to Dallas and on staff at Watermark where I get the privilege to serve other ministries through event planning. I truly love my job and every event that leads to something hearing the good news of Jesus Christ.
I met my wonderful husband, Daniel, while serving alongside him at the Porch, Watermark’s young adult ministry. I am grateful each day for the way he loves, serves me, and teaches me a different perspectives through his own walk with the Lord. We are both passionate about discipling men and women as they continue to grow in their love for the Lord and enjoy getting to serve alongside each other as a married couple.
A few things you need to know about me, I love sports and can be very competitive, I love to travel and will find any excuse to go overseas (both discipleship trips and for fun), and some of my favorite memories are hanging out with friends and family in my parent’s backyard.
