I am a daughter of the King and have a sweet spot for people, sparkling water, running, mountains, Colorado, lilies, and smiles.
I grew up in a small town south of Denver in colorful Colorado. I was raised in the church, having head knowledge of Jesus and His death on the cross for our salvation from a young age. However, this did not lead to an intimate relationship with Him. Throughout high school, into college and even post-graduation, I continued to be lukewarm in my faith. I would attend church every Sunday, was involved in a community group, and even served at the Porch, while living for this world on the weekends. In the summer of 2012, through community and friends, the Lord recaptured my heart and brought the darkness in my life into the light (1 John 1:5-7). I was living with shame and guilt from my past and I was finally able to experience freedom and peace in Christ through forgiveness and reconciliation (Galatians 5:1, John 14:27).
In the spring of 2013, I was approached to join staff serving on the marriage team. It has been an incredible blessing to work alongside an entire staff devoted to glorifying Jesus through their lives. Daily, I am sweetly reminded to pick up my cross and follow Him (Luke 9:23).
