For most in community, accountability feels like a weekly checklist which leads to judgment or legalism. Most of the time our goal can be to make it through our meeting time without becoming the center of attention. Biblical accountability should be a life-giving not something that steals our joy.  We will discuss how to model and lead out in accountability, look at its ultimate goal and how to encourage healthy accountability in your group by providing practical steps that you can use during your time together.  Do you ever feel confused about your role in the healing and growth of the people in your life/community?  See if you identify with these dilemmas:  Am I being controlling or holding them accountable?  Am I rescuing/enabling them or being my brother's keeper? Am I trying to fix them or speaking the truth in love?  It is often hard to know the difference.
