Interfaith Housing Coalition

Home is a word that summons up feelings of overwhelming warmth — whether it means a roof with front door, or the people who fill it. But to families seeking shelter, thoughts about "home" are more frequently filled with fear, loss, and hopelessness.

Interfaith Housing Coalition aims to bring new hope to these families.

For over 30 years, Interfaith has served "working poor" families who have become homeless, creating stability in their lives by surrounding them with the faith-based resources and support they need to overcome circumstance and season. From the warm brownies and new Bibles each new resident receives when they enter their fully furnished homes, to the one-on-one child and adult counseling and mentoring, Interfaith’s mission is to “be the hands of Christ, helping families transition to self-sufficiency and new hope.”

Serving approximately 100 homeless families each year, their success has not only been helping families stay together during a difficult time, but also in restoring hope to those who are willing to work toward self-sufficiency.
