A Great Fall and Great Forgiveness

1 and 2 Samuel

Examining chapters 11 - 12 of 2 Samuel, we see the seriousness of sin and the greatness of grace as we study David?s great fall (with Bathsheeba) and his great forgiveness. In these chapters, we looked at the common pattern of sin (to covet, commit sin, and cover it up) and the blessing of a right response: confession! We learned that confession doesn?t eradicate the consequences but allows us to continue in God's love and the fullness of restoration that is available in Him.
