Context is Key!

1 and 2 Kings

In this lesson, we lay the foundation of the rest of the study by explaining the contents of the Bible as well as the historical context for 1-2 Kings. As we look at God's Word and see His story in the history of the Old Testament, we also see that it's our story as well. We see God's gracious plan to redeem man - despite man's repeated rebellion.  We also see that God keeps His promises - as it was true for the Israelites in their day, it is true for us in ours!
