In Psalm 63, David found himself in the wilderness rather than in the protection of the palace. He did not, however, trust in the fortress of the palace, but rather in the protection of almighty God. Wilderness experiences are not necessarily bad, but they can draw us closer to the Lord, as we learn in this Psalm. Christ died so that He could have a close personal relationship with each of us, and we need to pursue that relationship with abandon.
