Moving on in the "Declaration" series, Todd investigates the implications of "liberty", free will in our lives and in our country. As humans, as citizens of the United States, and as followers of Christ we are free to make decisions, to choose our path. Nonetheless, we are not truly free to do whatever we please, we cannot toy with natural order, natural law, God’s law. The freedom of God is not freedom to do what we want, but to be what we want, and that’s truly free. How will we use our freedom? For the pursuit of our own pleasures and desires? For the good of our country? To serve God? There is no freedom without the Gospel, let us use our freedom to proclaim it.
