Most of us assume ? usually unconsciously ? that God?s character mirrors that of our imperfect earthly fathers. But as the Israelites learned during their escape from oppression in Egypt and their season in the desert - and as we can experience today - God is a good father who provides for His children by protecting us from our enemies, providing for our daily needs, pointing us to truth, and presiding with us on an ever-present basis.
