When you have a prodigal creating havoc and unrest in your family, the focus is understandably on them. However, the family is organic and the prodigal affects every family member whether you realize it or not. It is critical to understand the predictable roles each family member plays: scapegoat, hero, enabler, clown, and so forth. Every family member must be cared for in this process.
