Community Group Training Night Fall 2016

Join us for an evening of equipping and fellowship where you will learn more about community and how to overcome obstacles in your group. There will be three sessions in which to choose from; your group is free to attend the same session together, or split up and share notes later on individual sessions. Children's Ministry available with advanced registration by November 28th.

Choose 1 of the 3 following sessions:

Practicing Care & Correction -- Rob Barry (LOFT)
The quickest way for you church to become infected with mediocrity, ineffectiveness, and lifelessness as a community group is to not practice one of God’s primary means of grace to believers. Jesus instructed his followers to confront sin within the church with a simple step by step process that has largely been ignored by the American church. We will revisit the biblical issues of Care and Correction and how you functionally practice church discipline which starts within your own community group.

Taking the “Beat-Down” Out of Accountability -- Noah Brown (Stage 2 of the Kid's Building)
For many of us the word “accountability” can evoke images of rigidly going through a checklist of do’s and don’ts, and pointing out ways we have failed to measure up. In this session we’ll tackle the heart of accountability, as well as some specific ways that your group can begin using this God-given practice to build each other up, not beat each other down.

Our Role vs. God's Role -- Robbie Rice (2nd Floor of the Tower)
We can often feel confused about our role in the healing and growth of the people in our life/community. We ask ourselves: “Am I being controlling or holding them accountable? Am I enabling them or being my brother's keeper?” It is often hard to know the difference. Join us as we use the scriptures to guide us to a better understanding of our role and God's role in loving people.

Kids Ministry registration is closed.
