Shelter

Shelter is a Christ-centered support group for women who have been sexually abused or assaulted. Our desire is for women to experience freedom in the Lord as Isaiah 42:16 states, “I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.” Our hope is that women find hope, healing, and restoration in Christ as He sheds light on the dark and painful places of their past.

Shelter is a place where women can find true restoration for their hearts, minds, and souls as they cultivate an intimate walk with the Lord. Participants work through a curriculum in a small group with discussion led by facilitators who have experienced healing from sexual abuse or assault. They are encouraged to share their struggles at their own pace as they learn to trust the Lord to find healing in the midst of the storm of sexual abuse/assault.

Shelter meets on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm on the 2nd floor of the Watermark West Tower. This class runs continually, so you can begin attending at any time and no pre-registration is required. Kids' Ministry is available, no pre-registration required. For more information: shelter@watermark.org.

Kids Ministry is provided for this event. Registration is not required.
