Shelter

Shelter is a Christ-centered support group for women who have been sexually abused or assaulted. Our desire is for women to experience freedom in the Lord as Isaiah 42:16 states, “I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.” Our hope is that women find hope, healing, and restoration in Christ as He sheds light on the dark and painful places of their past.

Shelter is a place where women can find true restoration for their hearts, minds, and souls as they cultivate an intimate walk with the Lord. Participants work through a curriculum in a small group with discussion led by facilitators who have experienced healing from sexual abuse or assault. They are encouraged to share their struggles at their own pace as they learn to trust the Lord to find healing in the midst of the storm of sexual abuse/assault.

Shelter is for women 18 years and older. If you are younger than 18, we would love to connect you with our High School Ministry. Please reach out to Cassy Dahlsten (cdahlsten@watermark.org) for more information on what opportunities we provide for high school students to get connected and to be shepherded.

Kids Ministry registration is closed.
