I am a Jersey girl turned Texan. I was born and raised in the Garden State, but moved to Texas to pursue a degree at Southern Methodist University and have been here ever since. I’ve traded my summers down the shore, love of Bruce Springsteen and mom’s Italian cooking for sweet tea, country music and using “y’all” entirely too much. I love cooking, hanging with friends and learning new things!
I was in middle school when I understood the good news of the gospel for the first time. I was a pretty good kid growing up and I didn’t get in much trouble, so even though I had accepted that Christ died for the sins of the world, I didn’t always see or understand that He had died for my sins. It was hard for me to see my need for a Savior, I was managing my life pretty well on my own…or at least I thought. It wasn’t until high school when I started to live in community with other believers that I was faced with my sin. I had been living with one foot in the world and one foot in the church for years and neither was going well. On my 17thbirthday, I decided to see if the abundant life that Jesus talks about in John 10:10 was real. I fully devoted myself to learning the truth that God reveals to us through His Word, walking in community with other believers, and depending on God’s Spirit.
My life has taken a lot of unexpected turns, but there is nothing in this world better than knowing and walking with our Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:7-11).
