|God’s Word has been the ultimate game changer in my life. Even after my sins—which took me down deep, dark valleys—were reconciled with Christ, I still found myself hitting speed bumps and falling into more sin over and over again. It was not until I was given a hunger for His Word that I began to see God differently: for who He was, rather than how I perceived Him. I recognized that my freedom was not simply in my salvation, but in every day of my life. “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” (Galatians 5:1) |
Growing up in Dallas, I came to know Christ as my savior through a high school ministry called Young Life, specifically through a leader who loved me through my sin and showed me what it looked like to live in pursuit of Christ. At the start of my freshman year at Texas A&M, through another mentor, God showed me who He was through His Word and how to carry that out in life—during times of both victory and defeat. I grew so much during college being discipled by Godly women, leading high school students to Christ through Young Life, and even enduring trials of many kinds so that He would make me “mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:4)
Though I pictured myself taking my marketing degree to various advertising agencies, my one ministerial pursuit at Watermark ended up being exactly what God had in mind. I am so thankful to be on a team whose particular passion is to help others “know the truth” so that it would “set them free.” (John 8:32) The fact that I get to help equip women to rely on God and His Word for whatever may come is such a blessing!
I love to craft, drink coffee and watch movies. I love dogs, travelling, the Ags and spending time with good friends.
