Watermark Student Ministries has played a big part in my story of grace, and I am so excited to get to serve alongside the Junior High Staff to help equip small group leaders in their mission to point Junior High students to Christ in their small groups every week. I’m from Plano, TX and grew up not truly knowing Jesus and His grace until my friend invited me to Watermark in high school, and God captured my heart at a Shoreline Ski Trip in tenth grade. It’s such a testament to His love and transforming power that He’s now using me to serve in the ministry He used to draw me to Him.
I’m passionate about seeing God change lives through discipleship, and by the true freedom that comes from living in the light with community and other believers who can spur us on to love and good deeds. I lived out my four years of college at the University of Arkansas where I spent most of my weeks serving my small group through KLife in Fayetteville, my summers serving as a counselor at Kanakuk and as an intern with Shoreline, and my free time competing on the cycling team, hiking and camping, training to become a firefighter (God’s plan was a little different than my plan for myself), and eating Chick-Fil-A for almost every meal. But Dallas has always had a special place in my heart, and I love calling it home. I’m so excited to soon call my high school sweetheart, Megan, my wife and to get to love and serve her as Christ loves the church.
