One of my favorite things about our God is His creativity. From the way that He “marvelously and wonderfully” creates us and “knits us together”, He so perfectly plans and shapes our quirks and character traits and purpose on this earth. I love seeing how God so uniquely creates and gifts each one of us with passions and purposes all our own. It’s amazing to me how relational our God is; that He uniquely places different character traits He posses in each of us, to be a reflection of Him to the world around and to draw us closer to Him. It’s His expression of creativity in His people and nature that most draws me to Him. I knew from a young age that I had a passion for art and have been amazed at God’s faithfulness to direct my path that led me through college, an ad agency, corporate marketing and now on staff at Watermark.
From the time I was little, my parents told me about Jesus and His love for us. When I was five, I knew that God loved me so immensely that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die for my sins and to rise from the dead so that I could have a personal relationship with Him. Through my life I have struggled with my identity, and if it came from God as He claims, or if it came from what society thought of me. Through seasons of floods and droughts, God has reminded me that He is faithful and how He longs to be my refuge and my delight.Though originally a yankee, I’ve spent most of my life calling Texas my home. Some of my other loves include my husband, AJ, our chihuahua, Rigby, listening to oldies music, long runs, Christmas at all times of year, coffee with friends, being outside, and taking comfort food recipes and turning them vegan.
